The match will see Spanish teenage sensation Carlos Alcaraz take on French Open finalist Casper Ruud for the title – with the winner now guaranteed to overtake Daniil Medvedev in the ATP rankings and become the new world number one.

Alcaraz has won his last three consecutive matches in five sets – against Marin Cilic, Jannik Sinner, and Frances Tiafoe – while Ruud has beaten the likes of Matteo Berrettini and Karen Khachanov to get to this stage

Yesterday night, World Number One Iga Swiatek defeated Ons Jabeur in straight sets in the women's final, becoming the first woman to win more than one Grand Slam in a year since Angelique Kerber in 2016.

Swiatek came through 6-2, 7-6 (7-5), with Jabeur now having lost the final of the last two Grand Slam events in a row, following her defeat to Elena Rybakina at Wimbledon.
